Starter Motor
Cranks the engine over to start it, drawing a heavy burst of current from the battery.
How It Fails
Internal brushes wear down over thousands of start cycles, reducing cranking power until the motor can no longer turn the engine over reliably. The drive gear (bendix) can also wear or stick, causing grinding noises or a starter that spins without engaging.
What to Order
Starter matched to your forklift model, engine, and voltage (12V or 24V). Cross-reference by model, serial number, and OEM part number - starters vary by tooth count and mounting configuration even within the same engine family.
